UFO Day

Our first UFO Day of the year will be held on Saturday the 27th of January (10.30am – 4pm). Bring an unfinished project from one of our previous workshops and get help and inspiration to finish it! Spaces are limited so please contact us to book your place for either a whole day (£15) or half a day (morning or afternoon £10).

Feather Workshop

Feather Workshop: a 3-day course to learn how to quilt beautiful free-motion feathers. We will be making a wholecloth piece (i.e. no patchwork involved), about 20” square. Fabric paints will be used to create a design which will be filled with different feathers, resulting in an individual piece of textile art. Course dates: the 1st, 8th + 15th of February (10.30am - 3.30pm), £30 per day (fabric paint included). Catch-up days will be provided. It is essential that you are confident with free-motion quilting. Please contact us to book your place.

We are planning another free-motion for beginners workshop, with the above feather workshop to be repeated afterwards. If you are interested in either of these, please let us know so we can plan ahead.

Patchwork Workshop

Patchwork for beginners and those with experience we are once again offering our very special Tribal Art Workshop. This is a 6-day course (it is also possible to sign up for 3 days) during which you will learn several different patchwork techniques (including traditional patchwork, foundation piecing and appliqué) and fabric painting. We will be making six patchwork blocks based on cave and rock art from different cultures around the world. These are appliquéd or printed, for which fabric paint and printing blocks will be provided. There is also the option of embellishing with embroidery. The finished blocks can be used on their own or joined to make a wall-hanging or quilt. Course dates: the 10th + 17th of February, the 2nd, 16th +23rd of March and the 6th of April (10.30am - 3.30pm), £30 per day (fabric paint included).  Please contact us to book your place. Catch-up days will be provided.
